This week's has been the hardest on me to sub emotionally. I'd suggest get a box of tissue when you're going to watch this.

Minoru went to war after being with Yasuko for two freakin' weeks after the hardship the went through to be together. Yasuko only knew she was pregnant a few months after Minoru left. Minoru left Yasuko the surprise of their child's name, Rui in hiragana which can mean a lot of things.. but obviously it was based on Louis Armstrong, from the song On the Sunny Side of the Street that sparked their love for each other.

Yasuko started to loose her family members one by one. She brought Rui to meet Koshizu-san and Obaachan for the first time but appears to be the last time they all met. Their mata ne~ still lingers.. Poor Kinta-san for feeling guilty thinking that he's the reason that Koshizu-san and his mother died in the air raid. 

During Kinta-san's last moments, at first I didn't get why his conversation with Santa was odd. It appears to be that Kinta-san was seeing the kid from before as Santa.  Hinting that Santa too has died in the war maybe? 🤔 It shows the guilt of Kinta-san for being stubborn before Santa left for war. Although Yasuko seemed to have stayed strong so far she literally broke down when the notice for Minoru's death arrived. didn't we all.. 😭😭😭🤧

The very last minute for this week's episode has been the most devastating scene yet!! Yasuko begging for Minoru not to be mean to her like that..

Yasuko did mentioned she sent Minoru a picture of Rui but hasn't gotten a reply. But think about it! Minoru isn't the type to not respond to her. So some speculations maybe that he already died then?! Minoru never got to meet his own daughter (or maybe even knew he had one) despite choosing the name for the child.
