My Signal review.. SPOILER ALERT!
First of all.. I started out watching this drama just because of Sakaguchi Kentaro. I watched it from the very beginning of episode 1 without knowing what the story was about and didn't have a clue that it was adapted from another version. I've always been a fan of 'time-travel' or 'detective' kind of stories so this one pretty much fit the criteria.
Its been a while since the last drama I watched that made me beg for more on every episode. Each episode was so intense. I heard that the original version of the drama was actually longer and the Japanese version had to cut some parts off. Usually the story would kinda lack some elements but to me this version was already enough to make it a great story. I really enjoyed every minute of it.
The conclusion of the story was.. well.. through out the whole story Saegusa tried so hard to revive his brother by communicating with Ooyama to change some things in the past. Unfortunately his brother died anyways so I was really hoping that Ooyama could live. So in the present Saegusa had been shot covering for Sakurai and in the ambulance he spent his last breath saying that Ooyama sacrificed himself to prove the truth behind his brother's death was already enough.
In the past, Ooyama managed to change how things should've had end up and well obviously it was as if the present never happened. Saegusa is alive which was such a relive because I really HATE the idea of a main character that dies. So up to that point it was a good feeling. Even though Saegusa's brother couldn't be save at least Ooyama was and eventually revealed the truth behind the case. Or so we taught it was gonna be a happy ending.. Saegusa met up with Sakurai trying to find where the heck Ooyama was and after all the story had brought us through.. it ended in a blur not knowing what happen to Ooyama. LIKE WHAT THE?!
It was a great drama though the ending was a bit of a pain lol but I'd highly recommend this drama.
